“One of the fundamental aspects of life is centered around people and ‘relationships’.”

Tony was raised in Pittsburgh in a large family of Italian descent and has always held heritage and relationships in high regard. As a retirement planner, he is committed to treating his clients as an extension of his own family, providing the necessary support and guidance to assist them in achieving their financial goals.

Tony’s professional journey commenced following an inheritance from his late grandparents. Initially drawn to emulating his grandfather and father’s footsteps in real estate investment, he spent two years refining his skills before being recruited by a local firm to educate their students on the intricacies of real estate investing. After approximately nine years, he recognized a wide range of people who wanted more comprehensive financial assistance, prompting his transition into financial planning and establishing his firm, Fontana Financial Services, LLC.

Presently, Tony concentrates on the distribution phase of retirement planning, considering it the most crucial aspect requiring the highest level of planning. He consistently counsels clients on the significance of de-risking their retirement, mitigating the risk of running out of money, implementing strategies that may lower or eliminate taxes while retired, and empowering them to make informed decisions for themselves and their families.

When not attending to clients, Tony enjoys quality time with his two sons, Giovanni and Marcello. Their shared activities include supporting the Riverhounds at Highmark Stadium or the Steelers at Acrisure Stadium, engaging in joint workouts, embarking on hikes, and playing soccer in the backyard amidst their involvement in soccer tournaments and weekly games. Furthermore, he volunteers as a kitchen staff member with the East End Cooperative Ministry.

Tony periodically teaches a course at Penn State New Kensington called The Changing World or Retirement Planning.
